a few days ago caewaiisar did something really cute i wanted to try
over the top description for me as an rpg character go
complicated luck-based support character from a tactical Fire Emblem-ish rpg.
gameplay: a budding alchemist who dons a plethora of various cures and remedies made ever so sloppily. while all effects are guaranteed to do at least something related to what they say on the label, it’s really up to stupid luck to decide if you’re a master alchemist or not. if you’re feeling good about your ability to make a certain brew, you can find your muse and every successful elixir used will make each following strike a bit more helpful. If you keep spamming the same potion in hopes of hitting it big, you may find your alchemist getting overconfident and messing up big time. It’s a risky business! Very versatile, but a gambit nonetheless. With no rules or regulations covering the horrors created, some crazy shit might happen with this ass in your squad.
stats: agile as all fuck, but not that bright. ideal for moving about the map wreaking havoc but not that well optimized for any sort of confrontation. charisma through the roof and is useful to recruit even if only as comic relief.
backstory: feeling too downtrodden to disappointing family by not studying REAL healing magic like those STUCK UP CLERICS– I’d probably just try to figure this shit out myself. There’s talent in there somewhere, but there’s a lot of idiocy to dig through first to hit it big. Can consistently be found trying something new with a new guild or troupe.
personality: ditzy, loud, and probably talks a lot more than aware of. self proclaimed fast learner. overconfident in all the best ways. legitimately into alchemy for the purpose of making cool shit, and lives like a hobo in all ways except for clothing.
