another class project! this time we had to illustrate the old, and actually kind of bleak, nursery rhyme “monday’s child”.
in order to make it as edgy as i know how, i chose to interpret it as my teetering mental health this semester. also, i am gay every day of the week.

I finished a big class project today!
We were all given the same story (Cats of Ulthar by Lovecraft, it’s… eh.) and had five illustrations to tell it. Here’s my take! There’s a couple of mistakes that are bothering me now but all in all it was a great learning experience.
If anything I learned how to sift through an old racist dude’s weird ideas to get a good story out.

i finally got to listen to “divers” today! i’m a recent joanna newsom fan but that didn’t make it any less of an exciting release.
sapokanikan is still my favorite track, but that’s probably just because it’s a single i’ve already listened to a couple dozen times.
my first assignment for my storytelling class! the subject was nursery rhymes, so naturally i took “lavender’s blue” and made it about the Lavender Menace, an important political movement from the 70s.
